HydroSync ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile and web application collects, uses, and safeguards information when you track water intake and pair with hydration partners.
1Information We Collect
HydroSync collects minimal necessary data to provide real-time hydration tracking and partner synchronization:
- Account & Profile Information: Display name chosen by you and an anonymous device identifier.
- Hydration Activity Logs: Water consumption amounts (e.g. 250ml) and time stamps recorded in the app.
- Room Code Identifiers: 6-character room codes generated to pair devices with your designated partner.
- In-App Partner Nudges: Hydration alerts (e.g. cheers, reminders) sent between paired devices.
2How We Use Your Information
We process your information exclusively to:
- Display your daily water intake progress against your selected target.
- Synchronize real-time hydration updates with your designated partner in your active room.
- Deliver partner reminders and celebrate daily hydration goal achievements.
- Maintain system performance, trial eligibility, and security.
3Data Sharing & Privacy Safeguards
We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties or advertisers. Your display name and hydration progress are visible only to the specific partner who enters your explicit 6-character room code. Unpaired local tracking mode stores data strictly on your local device.
4Data Retention & Deletion Requests
You have full control over your data at all times:
- Leaving a Room: You can leave a room at any time, which immediately clears your room logs and nudges.
- Undoing Logs: You can undo any recent water log entry directly in the app.
- Complete Data Erasure: To request complete erasure of your data, email our support team at ddebayan.pal@gmail.com. Requests are processed within 24 hours.
5Children's Privacy
HydroSync is intended for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 years of age. If you believe a child has submitted personal data, contact us for prompt removal.
